Benue State Government Makes Fresh Appointments
The Benue State Government, on Wednesday, 15th January 2025, announced the postings of some permanent secretaries who were sworn into the state civil service on Tuesday while retaining others in their current positions. According to a statement by the Head of Service, Dr. Moses Agbogbo Ode, the new postings are as follows:
- Dr. Philip Nonogo – Ministry of Youths, Sports, and Creativity
- Dr. Ogenyi Elvis – Office of the Head of Service
- Martha Edor – Ministry of Women Affairs
- Elijah Agweye – Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security
- Helen Nambativ – Ministry of Education (Formal Education)
- Cephas Hough – Ministry of Commerce, Trade, and Industry
- Ikyaagba Wakwagh – Ministry of Works
- Eunice Ogbenyi – Ministry of Lands and Survey
- Sír James Iorpuu – Ministry Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management/BSEMA
- Bibiana Tyoishi Akundushima – Ministry of Education (non-formal education)
- Debbie Amine – Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
- Bartholomew Geraga – Government House Administration
- Thomas Ese – Ministry of Justice and Public Order (Solicitor General)
- Moses Tor Leva – Budget and Economic Planning Commission
- Akume John Ayila – Local Government Service Commission
- Kange Mary – BEPCOM (Benue State Environmental Protection Commission)
- Ayu Terna Demenongu – Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism
- Tir Godwin – General Service, Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG)
- Tsavmbu Beatrice Nguemo – Ministry of Health and Human Services.
- Sende Isaac Terkimbi – Ministry of Transport, Power, and Renewable Energy
- Nyikyaa Helen – Ministry of Science and Technology
- Ameh Gabriel Adah – Manpower Development and Training, Office of the Head of Service
- Alubo Felicia – Deputy Governor’s Office.
According to the statement, the appointment of the permanent secretaries aims to enhance efficiency and effective service delivery across the state’s ministries and agencies.
